This work sets out to discover the inner lives of subjects, question the values of contemporary society, and give a voice to ordinary people. Presented with a kind of realism through the documentary use of photography, the answers are beautiful and tragic, full of imaginative possibilities and poetic desires. In representing ordinary life, I want to reveal that human emotions and behavior are both strange and familiar, and although everyone is different, we experience and feel things that everyone can understand.

To me, you were perfect
Posted in Mixed Media, Shows on August 30, 2007 by iheartaaartWe all perceive perfection differently. Images of Barbie and Ken were used because they are the simplest iconic versions of the ideal. With all distinguishing features removed, people were able to manipulate and create their own ideal woman or man. These images were posted in bathrooms, elevators, and passed around for people to tag.
